Would KP be willing to take on the second banana role to Walsh for a year or 2 knowing he will take over post Walsh era? We talk about the NY appeal for players, it worked during Walsh's coach hunting, would it work for Walsh's replacement?
I see Walsh leaving in a year or 2 regardless of whether 2010 plan works or not, so KP either gets to GM a team that has Lebron + another FA or he gets to start with a clean slate in 2012? Not much downside in either scenario.
I like Pritchard's aggressiveness and how he has turned Portland into a great young team....

It took Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni most of the season before realizing what he has on his hands in the fiery rookie Toney Douglas.
Douglas carried the Knicks again with an explosive fourth quarter, and they are 3-1 since he was named the starting point guard one week ago. He is averaging 18.5 points and 6.7 assists in that time.
Despite playing with five fouls late and in his first game at the Garden since the promotion, Douglas lit the arena on fire, scoring 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. Douglas also made two steals in the final minute -- one that resulted in a breakaway layup -- to rally the Knicks (25-44) from a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit and 92-88 victory over Philadelphia.

So where the heck was Douglas all season, Mike?
"That was a pretty good fourth quarter, I know that much" said D'Antoni, who had Douglas out of the rotation two weeks ago. "I didn't know he could do that. The guy has a big heart, and you can see that. He has some ice water in... [Read More]
